Sweeney Julian was back at it again earlier this month by contributing additional supplies and our office van to St. Joe Valley’s Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc.’s care package drive. Volunteers gathered in Chapter President, Sandra Boldt’s, garage/barn in South Bend, Indiana, and lovingly assembled hundreds of care packages for U.S. troops. Bags made by Busy Hands of South Bend were stuffed with donated and/or fundraiser bought essential items, ranging from hygienic artifacts to munchies. The parcels were then loaded into Sweeney Julian’s van for transportation to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Indiana Senator, Joe Donnelly, happily welcomed our office van (and the goodies it carried) upon its arrival at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The care packages were then delivered to wounded soldiers and their families. Sweeney Julian could not think of a better way to show our continued support for this country’s past and present servicemen and servicewomen and military families and friends – especially the military moms (Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc.) who actively support and sustain such a great cause!
